Upcoming Test

We will have a Math Test this Friday, November 30th over Chapter 5 in our Math book. This test will cover surveys, line plots, median, mode and how to use a graph to solve a problem.

A study guide will be sent home on Wednesday.

Edible Map Items

Thanks to all who have donated items for our edible maps! We are still in need of the following items:

peanut butter (creamy)
corn syrup
blue icing in the tube
Pull apart Twizzlers

Items should be brought in no later than Friday, October 12th. Please make sure all items are unopened when brought to school. Thanks so much for your help in this fun activity!

No School

Just a reminder that there is no school this Friday, September 28th.

Because last week was mid quarter and each child received a progress report with their missing assignments, no list of missing assignments was sent this week. Your child will receive a missing assignment list on Monday.

Book Order

Hello! Just a reminder that the book orders are due on Friday, September 14th. Please send a check or money order made to Scholastic with your child to pay for the order.

Another exciting event that is happening in our class is that we are going to challenge ourselves to read 100 books. We are a part of the Classrooms that Care that Scholastic hosts. We will be tracking our progress in the classroom and on our Classrooms that Care website. You can find our class by going to http://classroomscare.scholastic.com. Once we read 100 books Scholastic will donate 100 books to a children in need of books! It’s a great way to give back and encourage a love for reading.

Binders Needed

We will be using the 1″ binder that was on the school supply list for our Writing Journals. Your child will need an additional 1″binder for our Reading Journals. If you are able, please send another 1″ binder with your child by Tuesday, August 28th. It can be new or used. If you are unable to send a binder, I can provide one for your child to use for the school year. We will not be doing PRIDE books this year. Instead, we are promoting organization using the STAR folders and agendas.
